A Podcast About Talking...

…talking the way we did before the internet. When you could not prove anyone right or wrong. All the expertise was contained in the people involved with the conversation. We hope you enjoy our conversations and as you listen, if you find yourself silently saying ”that don‘t sound right”, send us a comment. You’re one of us.

Meet Your Hosts

Cecil Davis

Born and raised in the small backwater town of Cary, NC, Cecil has risen to become one of the most successful podcasters on his cul-de-sac. After years of telling stories to employees that were trapped by the confines of the office, he has found a new outlet for his knowledge on an endless array of subjects. Finding a kindred spirit in Peter, the two have set out on a quest to rediscover the finer points of dorm room conversations. A pharmacist by trade, and a hobbyist at heart there is always something new to try or talk about.

Peter Beilman

Peter is a jack-of-all-trades and a master of fun! When he’s not co-hosting the podcast “That Don’t Sound Right,” he’s likely to be found camping, fishing, or backpacking in the great outdoors. And when he’s not exploring the wild, he’s busy restoring his trusty 1972 International Scout (which, in a stroke of serendipity, was his first car and his dad’s brand new ride back in the day).

But don’t let his love of the great outdoors fool you – Peter’s also a degreed engineer with a license to drive a tractor-trailer. Talk about a versatile guy!

When he’s not busy being a podcast star, engineer, and outdoorsman, Peter can be found at home with his lovely wife and three amazing kids. So if you’re looking for a guy who can fix your car, plan your next camping trip, and make you laugh, Peter’s your man!

What People Say

"You have managed to fill up 10 to 12 minutes with almost no verified factual content, while keeping an air of possibly being partially correct...as long as you keep tangentially approaching truth, you've lived up to your claims."

“I listen while I am running and that is a tough test for a podcast - it has to be good to keep my attention while running up hills in the heat and humidity.”

"Thanks guys! I learned several things about car batteries I never knew! You also explained why a number of diesel engine trucks have the pipes that funnel the fumes out above the engine so 4wd trucks can pass through rivers and water beds. Cool, thanks."
